For nearly a decade, A Beat Happening has created accessible, inclusive spaces where emerging and established artists can share their work, build relationships, and strengthen Portland's independent music ecosystem. The anniversary showcase highlighted not only live performances but also community resources, creative vendors, and local organizations working to support artists beyond the stage.
At the end of June, 2026, A Beat Happening marked their 9 year anniversary with the event Summer Frequencies Showcase, a free, all-ages celebration recognizing their work of building community through music. Hosted at L'Atelier Yaffe, the event brought together many of Portland's leading music collectives, DJs, producers, artists, community organizations, and creative businesses for an afternoon centered on collaboration, creativity, and community.
Guilded was proud to table there, doing outreach to connect with creatives and freelancers from around the city.
